PHILANTHROPY
Alpha Theta Alpha fundraises and donates to two philanthropies: Breast Cancer Awareness and Philabundance. In the fall semester AΘA holds our Annual Walk to End Breast Cancer every October where all donations go to the Fox Chase Cancer Center. In the spring semester AΘA hosts a basketball competition called Hoops for Hope. All donations from Hoops for Hope go to Philabundance, an organization to stop hunger in urban communities. In addition, The B+ Foundation holds a University event on campus called Explorathon, which raises over thousands of dollars for childhood cancer. We also participate and raise money for Explorathon in the name of Andrew McDonough.

A LETTER FROM OUR PHILANTHROPY CHAIR
When I was looking for my forever home here at La Salle University, the moment I walked out of Alpha Theta Alpha's philanthropy round, I knew that I needed to be apart of such a dedicated group of girls. Breast Cancer Awareness is such a big part of my life outside of school, and the thought of being able to incorporate that passion into school was a no brainer for me. I look forward to planning this years walk, where our goal as a sorority is to raise $11,000.
